How to Clean a Mouse Pad Without Ruining It
January 12, 2026

What you'll need
- Lukewarm water
- A drop of mild dish soap (no bleach, no fabric softener)
- Soft brush or microfiber cloth
- A flat surface to dry
The routine
- Lay the mat flat in a clean sink or bathtub
- Wet the surface with lukewarm water — do not soak the rubber base
- Add a single drop of dish soap and work it into a light foam with the brush
- Brush in circles along the printed surface — never scrub aggressively
- Rinse until the water runs clear
- Press out water with a dry towel (don't wring or fold)
- Lay flat to air dry for 12–24 hours
What NOT to do
- Don't machine wash — agitator damages the stitched edge and base bond
- Don't put it in the dryer — heat warps the rubber
- Don't use bleach or alcohol — degrades print over time
- Don't roll it up wet — traps moisture and grows mildew
How often
Light surface wipe weekly. Full wash every 2–3 months for daily-use mats. A sublimated print like ours will not fade from washing.
